Out of habit, many have decided that they can simply buy a ready-made American engine and install it straight into a UAV. However, aviation has always been an extremely expensive and costly endeavor. Purchased ready-made engines fail to start, and those that do manage to start are impossible to use on UAVs and scale up their production. In result, conversion of the American-made blank into an aircraft engine requires significant resources.
